Deal Straw-bale Residence

Among one of the first straw-bale buildings in Mojave County, this reseidence was designed and specified to be owner-built by retired couple building in a remote location. The project explored the simplicity of straw-bale construction, and the potential for a regional vernacular to meet specific passive design and constructability goals.
